Shadows of the Past
A woman who has lived under the same name for 37 years is suddenly told her identity is under review - and disappears shortly after. Elena Martinez follows the trail into a system where identities can be removed, replaced and outlive the people they belonged to. At the same time, new sides of Michael Thorne's own history emerge, along with the seventeen stolen identities tied to his past. The novel combines a missing-person mystery, institutional conspiracy and psychological suspense. The result is a story about what happens when the official record insists you are someone other than who you know you are.
